What’s new from me?
- Mini mugs are stocked! There are lots of different designs on each. These mini mugs are great to use as a mini scoop or use as a necklace!
-Ring holders! There are just a few located by the palo santo holders by the front of the store- while you’re over there, checkout the new glaze combos im using! I’ve been playing with layering glazes and working with wax to leave behind the bare clay body for you to see.
- Large vases, these could also be used for plants if you put a plastic catch pot inside (there are no drainage holes).

I hopped into our wood kiln and loaded up a ton of our classes awesome work yesterday @sccceramicartsclub - I could not have done it without loads of help from @kelsea.emaline.pottery @norriejane and @mckees_pottery grabbing posts, pots, wadding and shelves for me, also a team effort from the rest of our class to split wood, June and Steve chopped a TON of wood yesterday with Joe Frank! We will fire the kiln next week, hopefully the kiln gods will nice to us! It’s always a toss up, but I love the process of getting to this point anyways, no matter the results. DANG IT I’M HOOKED ON WOOD-FIRE! 😂Now the excitement builds while we wait for the firing! #woodfire #pottery #handmade #handmadepottery #woodfireceramics #woodfirepottery #woodkiln #woodkilnfiring

Today I Did a HUGE restock @sanctuaryofstuff in Asheville! I dropped off a ton of risers and a display for some mugs which gave the shelving a lot of different heights which looks much better than before! There’s a ton of mountain mugs, Trays and ornaments! Earlier this week I met up with a very kind gentleman from the WCU college of business, he reached out to me about getting a custom gift for an alumni that will be coming back to WCU to give a speech as a keynote speaker! This gentleman wanted to get them a gift to remind them of Cullowhee, with our purple and the mountains. This cup design was our final choice! The pink blushing on this piece is amazing! Work in progress: face jugs!!!! These are super fun to make! I made one several months ago with Rob Withrow, he threw the jug and then brought them in to the studio and taught us to build the faces. Since then I have have been wanting to try to make one of my own from scratch! These three are almost done, just minor details and changes to make before cleaning them, singing them and loading them into the bisque kiln. These are going to be wood fired. Check this out! My first attempt at a rainbow trout mug! This piece was thrown on the wheel, then I attached the handle and thumb rest. When the piece was a little drier, I went in with a tool and gently free handed the designs where I wanted them around the mug. This piece is made with @lagunaclay b mix. Then the piece was fired to somewhere around 1828 degrees Fahrenheit, we call this our bisque firing! Then I painted the piece with @amacobrent underglaze, watering some down when needed to get more transparent effects and mixing others to get some unique colors for this project! After painting I went back in and outlined things in black so they would pop a little more! After doing the finishing touches, adding my name and business name to the bottom and dipping this piece in clear glaze, this piece was fired a second time to roughly 2232 degrees Fahrenheit! I’m happy to say this piece survived the process! I love how it turned out! Comment below what you think!

I had a ton of fun making this piece! Throwing the mug, carving and under-glazing are my favorite things to do to my work! I loved creating this color pallet one color at a time, tweaking the shades until I liked what I was getting! The glaze firing can be hit or miss sometimes, I got lucky and the kiln gods blessed me with this beauty 🤤

I’m back from band camp and back in the pottery studio! @sccceramicartsclub The last week and a half I have been working with @prideofthemountains on our show this year, Connect. We worked incredibly hard during band camp and got a ton of work accomplished, our entire first movement with music and drill is memorized! This is my last year marching, I will greatly miss the program once I’m gone. This is my 6th year of marching with Pride Of The Mountains, I marched 4 years in highschool and started playing in oboe, violin and alto saxophone in concert band way back in fifth grade. Music has been a part of my life longer than most of the other things I’m involved in so it’s really special for me to get to march with the Low Reeds one last time. Hail to the greatest spot of all, hail to WCU. Go Cats! Come see me marching this fall @western_carolina

Currently working on this fish tray! If you have been following me for a little while, you’ll know that I LOVE doing these in different color schemes/ designs. Each color added brings the fish to life and I usually have a hard time telling myself when to stop adding detail since I love painting these. What do you think did I add too much detail? Muncie 70.3 -July 12th 2025 1.2 mile open water swim, 56 mile bike ride and then 13.1 mile run‼️ Thank you for believing in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. I couldn’t have done it without the massive help for MONTHS from my coach @saliston and the amazing support and encouragement from @slinkywoods and my best friend @rayne.storm.37 I would be lying to you if I said this was easy. This race ate me up and spit me out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’m so proud to have finished, no matter the time. This is my 2nd triathlon ever, after doing the Asheville sprint Triathlon last year in July. This was a huge step up in distance, training, nutrition, everything. I learned a ton and I’ve learned that there is a ton more to learn. I’m still hungry to earn the title of becoming an Ironman so if you see me swimming, biking and running around Cullowhee- know I’m just getting started and I can’t wait for my next journey. @davidgoggins was a major inspiration to me. Listening to him and being honest with myself has changed my life. Never finished. ❤️ #ironmanmuncie #70.3
